Amorphous Boron Powder | 90% – 99% Purity | Ultrafine Sizes 0.5–5 μm | Direct from Manufacturer
High-purity amorphous boron powder produced via magnesiothermic reduction, with stable particle distribution, low oxygen and impurity levels. Supplied in 90%–99% grades from stock, custom sizes and packaging available. Widely used in pyrotechnics, aerospace propellants, metallurgical deoxidation, semiconductor doping, refractory additives and advanced ceramics.
What is Amorphous Boron Powder? Amorphous boron powder is a black to dark-brown, odorless non-crystalline boron (B) powder. Unlike crystalline boron, the amorphous form has a disordered lattice structure, which gives it a much higher chemical reactivity, larger specific surface area and lower ignition temperature — making it the preferred boron form for energy, combustion and metallurgical applications.
Our amorphous boron is manufactured through a controlled magnesiothermic reduction process, followed by acid leaching, water washing and high-temperature vacuum drying. Every batch is sieved, blended and tested to guarantee batch-to-batch consistency.
Key Features / Why Choose Our Boron Powder
- High & stable purity— consistent B content of 90% / 95% / 97% / 99%, verified by ICP chemical analysis.
- Controlled particle size— D50 from 0.5 μm to 5 μm, narrow distribution, low oversize.
- Low impurities— Mg, Si, Fe, acid-insoluble residue and oxygen strictly controlled per lot.
- Excellent reactivity— high specific surface area, easy ignition, stable burning rate.
- Moisture-proof packaging— double PE bags inside, sealed iron drums outside; shelf life ≥ 2 years when stored dry.
- Factory direct supply— competitive FOB / CIF pricing, MOQ flexible, samples available within 3 days.
